Feranmi Ibitoye

I am an associate in our London office, specialising in real estate and hotel financing, both in the UK and internationally.

I qualified as a solicitor of England and Wales in 2018 and have been a member of the Bird & Bird Real Estate Group in London since autumn 2022.

I have experience working in relation to a broad range of real estate assets across multiple sectors including, Residential Development, PRS/Build-to-Rent, Purpose Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) and Hotel & Hospitality.

I regularly assist a broad range of lenders, including domestic and international banks, financial institutions and a range of borrowers such as international property developers, on banking and real estate finance matters, acting on complex UK and cross border finance transactions involving senior, mezzanine and junior lenders and negotiating complicated inter-creditor issues. I also have experience acting for corporate clients on both their financing transactions and debt restructurings.

I adopt a pragmatic and workable approach on transactions, giving commercial advice in often complex transactions. My aim is to always anticipate and understand client requirements and to develop a longstanding relationship. My role involves the drafting of the full forms of finance documentation necessary for the deal, as well as broad transaction management whilst acting as our clients' deal contact.
