About Me

As a senior associate in our International HR Services Group in The Hague, I advise on a broad range of employment matters, both collective and individual, for both national and international employers.

As an all-round employment lawyer, I advise clients on a variety of employment issues. I have extensive experience in individual matters, such as hiring employees, termination cases, performance issues, non-competition issues, dealing with sick employees and all kinds of employee documentation. I also regularly advise on more collective matters, such as collective dismissals, assistance in reorganisations, employee representation and employment matters in compliance investigations.

Additionally, I regularly work together with our corporate department to assist clients on employment matters within the context of acquisitions in the industrial, life science and telecom sector.

I particularly enjoy assisting clients in 'translating' Dutch employment law, which is often perceived as difficult, and finding a pragmatic approach for a specific problem.

I joined Bird & Bird in 2014 after previously working as a lawyer at a major national law firm. Before becoming a lawyer in 2011, I obtained a PhD in law. This past experience has helped me to become an analytically strong lawyer that can quickly get to the core of a matter.
