Joey Matze

As an Associate in our International Tax team in the Netherlands, I focus on corporate income tax, dividend withholding tax and international tax law. I work from our offices in The Hague and Amsterdam.

I enjoy advising a wide variety of clients ranging from domestic to international clients, including listed companies. My experience spans across a wide range of industry sectors. I am specialising in advising European and US multinationals on cross-border transactions and corporate reorganisations.

I hold a LLM in Tax Law and a LLB in Law from Leiden University. I began my legal career at a leading Dutch Law firm in Amsterdam prior to joining Bird & Bird. I am a member of the Dutch Association of Tax Advisers (NOB) and I am also admitted to the Dutch Bar Association (NOvA).
