I am an IT and data lawyer, advising clients on all legal aspects of digital regulation, cybersecurity, and the handling of data-related requests and measures from law enforcement authorities.
I support national and international clients in developing practical solutions within the complex regulatory framework of the digital economy.
A key focus of my practice is data law. Data economy regulations - particularly the Data Act - are becoming increasingly relevant for many businesses. At the same time, complex data protection issues remain highly significant. I assist clients in navigating this dynamic landscape. Additionally, I advise on telecommunications and cybersecurity law, supporting clients with both current regulatory challenges and preparation for future requirements, such as the NIS2 Directive.
With a background as a trained detective at the German Federal Criminal Police Office (Bundeskriminalamt, BKA), I have first-hand insight into the workings of public authorities. My practice therefore includes advising clients on their interactions with law enforcement and security agencies, particularly in handling data access requests or surveillance measures. Through my LL.M. studies in Amsterdam and engagements at Europol and Eurojust, I have developed deep expertise in cross-border digital investigations (e-Evidence) which I apply directly in my client advisory work.
I regularly publish articles and speak at conferences on topics within my areas of expertise.
