Millie Lloyd-Williams

I am an associate in our Dispute Resolution group in London, advising and acting for clients on contentious issues and commercial disputes across a range of the firm's sector groups, including Retail & Consumer, Life Sciences and Healthcare, and Media, Entertainment and Sports.

I have experience of a broad range of contentious matters across all stages of the dispute lifecycle, from the early pre-action phases through to final hearings and enforcement. I have also assisted clients with settlement in the interim where this has been the desired outcome for them. My work typically includes acting for clients on contractual disputes, as well as defamation and reputational issues. I have a particular interest in arbitration, having spent the first years of my career at a large international firm specialising in this area. During this time, I worked on a number of high-value arbitrations each with multi-jurisdictional elements giving me great experience in this field. I have worked under a variety of arbitral rules as well as ad hoc arbitrations and also have experience of challenging arbitral awards in the English Courts.

Since joining Bird & Bird, my practice has extended to include a broad spectrum of contentious matters, representing clients in other commercial disputes and litigation matters. I have experience in both the county and high court.
