Petteri Metsä-Tokila

I am a senior Counsel in our Competition and EU Law group in Helsinki, where I advise our clients in various competition law and regulatory matters.

I am specialized in competition law and have over 20 years' experience in advising clients in competition law in areas ranging from distribution agreements and horizontal cooperation to complex merger control proceedings. Before joining Bird & Bird in 2022, I worked as a competition lawyer in a major Finnish law office.

I have board experience in representing clients before different authorities and courts in competition and regulatory proceedings. I am business-oriented lawyer and have gained experience in advising clients in the food industry, retail, communication and media, financial services, and technology industry among others.

In addition to competition law, I advise clients in various regulatory issues, compliance issues and contract law relating mainly to commercial agreements.
