Tamar Bastiaan

As an associate in our Data Protection and Regulatory Groups and a member of our Tech & Comms team in The Hague, I am involved in matters related to data protection and privacy.

I work with our clients in IT contracting and online services, but also other sectors such as life science, healthcare and telecommunications. I advise on several data protection compliance issues in complex regulatory settings.

I worked as an associate in the EU Competition and Public Enforcement & Investigations practices of a law firm in Amsterdam before joining the team at Bird & Bird. Prior to becoming an attorney, I worked for a leading entertainment and media company, where I was involved in the implementation of the GDPR.

Furthermore, I am a board member of the Young Bar Association of the Netherlands (SJBN) and a member of the Dutch Privacy Law Association (VPR).
