I am an associate in our international Corporate Group in London. I advise clients on a range of corporate transactions, with a particular focus on private M&A, VC investments, private equity, and corporate reorganisations.
I work with clients across a number of Bird & Bird's key sectors, including Technology & Communications, Energy & Utilities, and Media, Entertainment and Sports. Much of my work is cross-border in nature, utilising the firm's international network and involving collaboration with overseas counsel and specialists.
I particularly enjoy working with clients that are being changed or disrupted by technology and increasingly advise clients making acquisitions, fund raising, or investing in the AI space. I think it is vital that lawyers understand emerging technologies so that we can best advise our clients, who are often either at the cutting edge of these new developments, or whose businesses are being transformed as a result. As a corporate lawyer at Bird & Bird, I am able to draw upon the expertise of our market-leading specialist teams to provide our clients with the most up-to-date and insightful legal advice.
I have a keen interest in how technology is re-shaping the legal industry. I am a member of the firm's AI Steering Group and LegalTech Focus Group, and help lead the Corporate group's efforts in adopting new technology. I have developed tools and processes to streamline internal workflows and ensure we continue to operate more efficiently and provide cost-effective solutions to our clients.
I qualified as a solicitor in August 2022, having trained at the firm and worked in our corporate, finance and dispute resolution groups. As a trainee, I was seconded to Macquarie in its Commodities and Global Markets business, which gave me an invaluable insight into how we can best support in-house legal teams and provide practical and commercially focused advice to our clients.
