The legislative proposal was passed at the third reading 28 May 2020 and the law entered into force on July 1, 2020.
The detailed regulations from the Directive and the main points from the legislative proposal are implemented in 12 ministerial orders that are drafted subject to the Danish Radio and Television Broadcasting Act and the legislative proposal.
The 12 ministerial orders entered into force on or before 15 September.

In principle, the regulation does not go beyond the minimum requirements in the Directive. However, the continued ban on advertising breaks and product placement in Danish programs and the continued 12 minute per hour upper limit for television advertising will go beyond the minimum requirements of the Directive.
