We explored global performance trends, including those emanating from the USA, Europe, Middle East and Asia Pacific, and how these are likely to impact the European hotels market.
We were joined by David Eisen of HotStats, who provided RevPAR and other performance data across different global regions and highlighted emerging trends.
Russell Kett of HVS provided a global overview and some suggestions of where recovery should be coming from, followed by a panel discussion chaired by Bird Bird’s head of Hotels, Hospitality & Leisure, Karen Friebe, with industry experts Jonathan Falik (JF Capital Advisors), Jan Hazelton (Kerzner International), Tim Helliwell (Barclays Bank), Asli Kutlucan (Cycas Hospitality), Simon Vincent (Hilton Worldwide) and Graeme Smith (AlixPartners).
