Poland's booming PV market – a commercial and regulatory overview

We warmly invite you to an Early Birds Breakfast on Thursday 26 September, where we will discuss the key aspects of the PV sector in Poland – its upsides and potential hurdles.

From zero to 800 MW's in just three years – the Polish solar energy (PV) sector has rapidly accelerated since 2015. Since the introduction of the "contract for difference" (CfD) support scheme for renewables in Poland in 2015, the almost non-existent market of ground-mounted PV installations has grown to around 800 MW's of PV capacities that were awarded CfD in the three solar energy auctions that took place between December 2016 and November 2018. A fourth consecutive solar energy auction is anticipated by the end of 2019, which should produce another 700 – 750 MW's of new PV capacities.

Considering the predictable regulatory regime, friendly investment environment and favourable tax system, Poland has become one of Europe's hottest PV markets today. Further, aside from already established structures for CfD-backed solar energy projects, the market is also showing signs of moving towards subsidy-free utility-scale projects in the mid-term perspective.

The seminar is addressed to professionals, such as business development mangers, project managers, investment directors, etc. representing investors (PE funds, asset managers, industry players, large institutional investors, etc.) interested in Polish solar energy opportunities.

This event is co-organised with the Polish Solar Energy Association (PSEA) and in partnership with Wind Prospect (a technical and engineering advisory firm).

The seminar will be held in English, and admission is free.
