StandOUT was established to represent the LGBTQ+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer+) experience at Bird & Bird, and promote equality and inclusion in the workplace for LGBTQ+ staff and allies. It provides a supportive community for members to share experiences, thoughts, insights and ideas on LGBTQ+ inclusion, as well as the broader culture of our firm. The network:
is a safe space for people to explore and discuss LGBTQ+ inclusion, both within and outside of the workplace
celebrates, and raises awareness of, the experiences and historical moments of importance of LGBTQ+ communities (e.g. LGBTQ+ History Month, Pride)
provides guidance to Bird & Bird leadership to promote LGBTQ+ inclusion in the firm’s policies, activities, communications and overall D&I approach
