‘Roundtable Tax &’-series: DAC7 & CESOP go-live on 1 January 2024

Virtual roundtable

15:00 - 16:00 CEST / 14:00 - 15:00 GMT / 09:00 - 10:00 EST

The EU will introduce two new tax reporting requirements effectively going live on 1 January 2024, i.e. DAC7 and CESOP.

DAC7 is a new EU tax reporting requirement for online platforms, requiring those platforms to exchange seller information including seller revenues to the EU tax authorities. DAC7 aims to combat tax non-compliance, especially for personal income tax, corporate income tax and VAT.

CESOP is a new tax reporting requirement for payment service providers (PSPs), requiring those PSPs to report certain payment data to the EU tax authorities. CESOP aims to combat VAT non-compliance in cross-border B2C e-commerce and complements the 2021 EU VAT ecommerce recast.

The first DAC7 and CESOP filings are due respectively 31 January 2024 and 30 April 2024. With 2023 entering into Q4, now is the time to accelerate your DAC7 and CESOP preparations.

We are pleased to invite you to our ‘Roundtable Tax &’ on these DAC7 and CESOP developments, which will take place virtually on Tuesday October 10, 2023. To attend the roundtable, please contact us.
