Here at Bird & Bird, I am a partner in our International Employment Group. I am currently qualified to practise in Hong Kong, Australia and England. This reflects my recent history where I have been lucky enough to be based in San Francisco, Hong Kong, Sydney and London. Most recently, I was based in our San Francisco office which I co-led, before returning to London.

The start of 2020 has been extremely challenging for global employers, and COVID-19 comes on the back of these uncertain times. While every situation brings different challenges and each country will have different laws to navigate, it seems clear that responsible HR leaders and employment counsel will now be planning to deal with the current COVID-19 situation.

We do not pretend to have all the answers, but we hope this broad FAQ document will drive an analysis of what needs to be considered in these situations.

We have prepared a series of webinars which cover different topics in order to answer some commonly asked questions during COVID-19.
