The Protocol on Remote Hearings of the EUTM Court No. 1 of Spain: A new step forward towards a more userfriendly European trade mark enforcement system

Remote hearings have become increasingly popular in Spain following recent reforms to Spanish procedural law. The aim of introducing remote hearings is to reduce costs and increase the efficiency of the EUTM enforcement regime. A new protocol has been adopted by the Commercial Court No. 1 of Alicante regarding these remote hearings, setting out requirements to ensure they are legitimately held.
