International law firm Bird & Bird today launches the Dawn Raid app, a new compliance tool designed to guide businesses through the essential information they would need in the event of a dawn raid by antitrust authorities.
The Dawn Raid app provides Bird & Bird clients with a check list of information for before, during and after a dawn raid and the subsequent investigation. This includes key information about clients' obligations and rights to ensure that the business cooperates fully, whilst minimising disruption and protecting the company's legal position.
The app also features a list of frequently asked questions and emergency Bird & Bird contacts to provide clients with support at their fingertips.
Peter Willis, Co-head of Bird & Bird's International Competition Group says: "Our clients often ask us what their rights and obligations are in the event of a dawn raid to ensure that their business fully cooperates, so we wanted to create an informative app to help them through the process. Any company, no matter how small, could be subject to a dawn raid, so having all the necessary information in one app we hope will be a useful reference guide for our clients."
José Rivas, Co-head of Bird & Bird's International Competition Group says "The Dawn Raid application is an additional compliance resource which our clients can use to find out exactly what to do, what rights they have and what powers the inspecting authorities have in the event of an unexpected investigation. This app is designed to complement Bird & Bird's "Competition e-learning tool".
The app is available on both mobile phones and tablets, and requires iOS 7.1, Android 4.1 and Windows 10 or later.
It is available to download from the Apple App Store, on Google Play and the Microsoft Store.
