Bird & Bird reinforce their title as leaders in patent litigation by scooping two major awards at this year's MIP Global Awards in London
Bird & Bird's pre-eminent position as leaders both in the global and national Intellectual Property field was reaffirmed again at this year’s Managing Intellectual Property (MIP) Global Awards ceremony, which was held last night at the Savoy Hotel in London.
We were named:
- Winners Europe Patent Litigation - IP Firm of the Year
- Winners for the Italy (Contentious) – IP Firm of the Year
These accolades represent a fantastic achievement for Bird & Bird and truly showcase both the local and international strength and quality of the IP practice.
Now in their 12th year, the MIP Global Awards follow the publication of MIP magazine's well-established survey of leading patent, trade mark, and copyright firms. The awards are presented to firms, individuals and companies behind the most innovative and challenging IP work of the past year, as well as those driving the international IP market.
Morag Macdonald, Partner and Co-Head of the International IP Group, commented on the significance of the award for the team, saying: "with the imminent start of the UPC, this gives Bird & Bird's European Patent Litigation team a huge boost to their confidence as they prepare for the advent of the UPC".
