Seven of our competition experts are listed in the 19th edition of the respected legal publication Who’s Who Legal: Competition. This comprehensive survey, carried out in conjunction with Global Competition Review, is based on feedback from both in-house counsels and fellow private practice competition lawyers from other law firms.
Three of our partners selected for inclusion were recognised in multiple sections of the guide. Head of Bird & Bird Brussels Anne Federle is singled out as both a Thought Leader and a Leading Lawyer by Who’s Who Legal: Competition 2018. While co-head of our Competition and EU Law practice group José Rivas and partner Jörg Witting, who leads our German Competition and EU Law group, are both recognised in the Competition: State Aid and Competition: Lawyers sections of the guide. Jörg is also recognised in Who’s Who Legal: Germany for his competition expertise.
Four further lawyers at Bird & Bird also feature. Co-head of our Competition and EU Law team Peter Willis is rated as a top practitioner due to his expertise in representing plaintiffs in complex competition litigation. Partner Hein Hobbelen, who joined Bird & Bird Brussels and The Hague offices last summer from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, is ranked in the Competition: Lawyers section.
Scott McInnes, one of our Brussels-based partners and Florence Leroux, Senior associate at our Paris office, are recognised as Future Leaders (aged 45 and under) respectively in the partners and non-partners categories.
These notable successes in Who’s Who Legal: Competition 2018 demonstrate the continued and growing strength of Bird & Bird’s international Competition and EU Law group.
