International law firm Bird & Bird has advised traxi Sharing GmbH, a tech start-up for 24/7 digital trailer rental, on its Series A financing round of €1.5 million.

traxi was founded in Gelsenkirchen in 2020 and has since grown to become a major player in the digital mobility industry, with almost 75 locations in Germany and one station in France.

The investor and new strategic partner is trailer manufacturer BLYSS transporttechnik GmbH, which will complement the existing investor, Via ID.

With BLYSS as its partner, traxi is driving forward its expansion and positioning itself as a leading provider of digital trailer rental in Central Europe. As an established trailer manufacturer, BLYSS contributes extensive expertise and industry insights, enabling traxi to continuously improve the quality and variety of its rental offerings.

With the Series A financing, traxi plans to grow to 160 locations by spring 2025, equipped with a total of 800 trailers. In addition to the expansion in Germany, traxi is preparing to enter the Polish market and has also announced development in Austria in Autumn 2024. Expansion in France with additional stations is also planned to further strengthen its presence in the European market.

Traxi was advised by the following Bird & Bird lawyers: Counsel Andrea Schlote (lead), and associates Louisa Graf, LL.M. and Yannick Stahl (all Corporate, Munich).
