Bird & Bird boosts its Commercial team with the appointment of Tech & Comms expert Tomasz Zalewski as partner in Warsaw

International law firm Bird & Bird today boosts its Tech & Comms sector group with the appointment of Tomasz Zalewski as a partner in its Commercial team in Warsaw.

Tomasz provides comprehensive advice to companies in the technology, healthcare, energy, industrial automation, environmental protection, defence, retail and consumer space. He handles complex development ventures and projects connected with the application of new technologies and digital transformation.

Tomasz advises on all aspects of public procurement law and represents clients in procurement disputes before the National Appeal Chamber and the courts. He also has extensive experience advising on infrastructure and IT procurement projects, representing both contractors and contracting authorities.

Tomasz has advised clients on numerous large scale IT projects, involving the implementation of complex software in both traditional and SaaS models. He joins from Wierzbowski Eversheds Sutherland where he was Managing Partner and head of the TMT, intellectual property, technology and engineering teams.

He is an arbitrator at the Court of Arbitration of the Audiovisual Market at the Polish Audiovisual Producers Chamber of Commerce, and an expert at the Council of the Polish IT and Telecommunications Chamber. Tomasz also serves as an expert for the European Assistance for Innovation Procurement initiative.
