I head our office in Denmark where I am a partner in our Corporate group. I use my expertise as project manager and business adviser to advise knowledge-based enterprises from SMEs to multinationals — whether they are local or global clients. I am also a member of the firm's global board.

The international law firm Bird & Bird celebrates 10 years at providing legal advice to Denmark's and the world's most innovative companies and organisations.

The journey for the Danish office started in 2013, but the company's global history goes back more than 150 years.

10 years ago, after a merger with the Danish IT law firm Bender von Haller Dragsted, Bird & Bird was established in Denmark. Today, Bird & Bird is Denmark's leading international law firm within technology and digitalisation. With more than 80 employees in Denmark, and more than 3.000 colleagues around the world, we advise both Danish and international companies and organisations out of our office in Copenhagen.

10 years of continuous growth

Since 1846, Bird & Bird has worked within innovation and technology and during the last decade, the Danish office provided legal advice to hundreds of clients worldwide whose work is affected by technology and the digital reality. During the past 10 years, Bird & Bird's Danish office has presented continuous growth on both the top and bottom line, and the number of employees has tripled. As we enter the next 10-year period, we look forward to continuing the positive growth, strengthening our business further and set new standards for legal advice in particularly tech, associated rights and digitalisation.

Casper Moltke-Leth, Partner & Head of Country: "It has been a fantastic first decade for Bird & Bird in Denmark. We have succeeded with our long-term Go Global strategy and established ourselves as the go-to international law firm in Denmark with offices in 22 countries and over 3.000 employees globally. We tripled our size in Denmark and expanded the office with fantastic colleagues who solidified our position as Denmark's best legal advisers in everything tech and associated rights. We aim to continue this growth and look forward to the next 10 years with a sense of positive anticipation, during which we are sure we will become an even bigger and more broadly based consulting company, assisting companies and organisations in Denmark and in the global markets”

Happy colleagues and a healthy working environment

One of important reasons for Bird & Bird's success is due to our team-based culture, professional community and high employee satisfaction, which is above the industry average*. Our fundamental DNA is to treat everyone with respect and to create a dynamic, development-oriented environment where everyone can be who they truly are. It is a special satisfaction to see this reflected in elevated levels of well-being and a healthy working environment, where we respect each other across gender, age, ethnicity, disability and religion. We care about each other and our clients and this, accompanied by a common goal of running a professional business, supports a workspace which contributes to a strong and sustainable development and at the same time we always make sure to have fun together.
