As a Finnish senior corporate partner and the firm's Partner Head of Business Development in the Nordic Region, I have in-depth experience of complex cross-border M&A transactions and corporate and commercial work. I am also a member of our Finnish Management Team and a Board Member of OXYGY, the management consulting firm offering a multi-disciplinary offering with Bird & Bird.

International law firm Bird & Bird has advised Edita Group Oyj on the divestment of its subsidiary Edita Prima Oy to PostNord Strålfors Oy, a Nordic communications solution provider.

Both Edita Prima and PostNord Strålfors have considerable experience in digital and physical customer communication services. When closed, the transaction will combine two prominent actors in the industry and strengthen service offering for customers.

Bird & Bird's core advisory team comprised Maria Carlsson, Matti Kuokkanen, Katariina Leino (Corporate and M&A), Katia Duncker, Petteri Metsä-Tokila, Maria Karpathakis (EU & Competition) and Teemu Lahdelma (Commercial).

The closing of the acquisition is subject to the approval of the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority. You can read more about the transaction in Edita Group's press release.
