Bird & Bird advised 88 Energy on an oversubscribed placing to raise A$9.9m (£5.2m)

International law firm Bird & Bird advised long-standing oil & gas exploration client 88 Energy on an oversubscribed placing to raise A$9.9m (£5.2m).

The proceeds of the placing will be applied towards further work on the company’s Hickory-1 discovery well in Alaska and completion of a 2D seismic program at its PEL 93 farm-in project in Namibia, as well as supporting other exploration work.
