Bird & Bird advised Hitachi Energy in Finland on €170 million development project regarding new production and technology campus

International law firm Bird & Bird acted as advisor for Hitachi Energy Finland Oy in a real estate arrangement where a new modern production and technology campus of approximately 30,000 sqm is built for Hitachi Energy in Vikby industrial area in Mustasaari Vaasa region.

In the development project, new high-tech and modern production and testing lines for the production of transformers as well as modern office premises are built. The overall amount of investment is approximately 170 million euros with an additional 200 jobs planned. The target is that the new campus is completed and ready for use in 2027.

Our assignment included all legal advice for Hitachi Energy including, among others, agreements regarding acquisition of the land, development project and financing.
