Bird & Bird advises Re:Nourish on its £2m funding round to finance global growth ambitions

Bird & Bird’s Corporate team has advised on-the-go soup brand Re:Nourish on securing a £2million investment as part of its global growth strategy. Re:Nourish is one of the fastest-growing brands in the fresh soup category.

The past year has been one of significant expansion for Re:Nourish. Now stocked by Waitrose, Co-op, Amazon Fresh and Ocado, Re:Nourish have turned their attention to expanding into foreign markets. The company has recently launched in Hong Kong and the UAE.

The series A funding round will be used to further expand the company and its products in the Middle East, Far East and other territories. The £2m investment builds on a prior seed funding round of £800,000 in September 2020. In addition to original backer Doehler Ventures, two new investors participated in the series A fundraising.

The Bird & Bird team advised on all aspects of the funding round and was led by Corporate partner, Adam Carling, together with associates Richie Lamb (Corporate) and Emma Green (IP), all UK-based.

Nicci Clark, founder of Re:Nourish comments: “Now more than ever, it’s important to have vitamin-boosting foods as employees start returning to the office. The team at Bird & Bird were a great support advising us on this latest funding round and generally. I look forward to working with them again in future.”

Adam Carling, Corporate Partner at Bird & Bird adds: "We are proud to have assisted Re:Nourish on their latest funding round. The series A funding provides an exciting opportunity for global expansion and is a prime example of Bird & Bird’s strong capabilities in the Venture Capital space and the Wellness sector.”
