Bird & Bird boosts Corporate team with new partner Henrik Nobel in Stockholm

International law firm Bird & Bird today strengthens its international Corporate team with the appointment of M&A expert Henrik Nobel as a partner in Stockholm.

Henrik has extensive experience handling cross-border M&A for both Swedish and international clients, advising businesses within the Media, Entertainment & Sports, Tech & Comms and Automotive sectors on complex M&A transactions, structuring, and reorganisations. Henrik often collaborates closely with fellow specialist lawyers to offer comprehensive legal advice on a range of matters including real estate transactions, financing, tax, IP, capital markets, employment, and disputes.

Henrik joins from Lindahl law firm in Stockholm, where he was Partner and head of the Private M&A and Private Equity group.

Following the arrival of Wendela Hårdemark earlier this year, Henrik's addition marks the second lateral partner hire of 2025 in Sweden. This move highlights not only ambitious growth in the region, but also the notable expansion of its international IP and Corporate teams as part of the firm’s global five-year strategy.

Mårten Willamo and Martin Folke, co-heads of Bird & Bird's Sweden Office, comment: "We are delighted to welcome Henrik to our growing team in Sweden. In the context of rising demand for corporate advice in the region, Henrik's expertise aligns seamlessly with our growth objectives as part of the global five-year strategy, and will be in great demand by domestic and international clients seeking to expand their businesses.”

Alberto Salvadè and Matt Bonass, co-heads of the International Corporate Practice Group at Bird & Bird, say: "Our international Corporate Group has been in growth mode with a number of key hires made globally last year, and Henrik’s arrival demonstrates that this momentum is only set to continue into 2025. His extensive experience handling domestic and cross-border transactions is widely recognised both in the Nordics and internationally, and his specialist skills and commercial approach will greatly complement the existing team. We wish him a very warm welcome to the firm.”

Henrik adds: "Bird & Bird’s strong reputation in corporate, IP, employment, litigation, and commercial law, combined with its global network, will provide me with a strong platform to help clients navigate the increasingly complex legal landscape. The firm’s ‘One firm’ approach and impressive M&A and private equity practices will be a major asset to clients looking to grow, and I can’t wait to get started.”
