Pablo Berenguer

I am a partner and co-head of Bird & Bird's Commercial/Commercial Dispute Resolution practice and of the Technology & Communications sector group in the Madrid office.

I have a broad knowledge of civil, commercial and litigation law, as well as a deep understanding of the technology industry.

I have extensive experience in the field of dispute resolution in many civil jurisdiction cases before the Spanish courts (all instances, including the Supreme Court). I also regularly participate in domestic and international arbitration proceedings, acting as both counsel and as arbitrator. My litigation and arbitration expertise covers sectors and areas such as Tech and business consultancy projects, privacy and data protection damages claims, healthcare, international commerce, corporate and M&A related disputes, among others.

I also regularly act in complex commercial contracts and negotiations, with a particular focus in the Tech & Comms sector. My experience in this area includes design, negotiation and implementation of complex transformation projects, software development and integration contracts and IT outsourcing, as well as contentious and non-contentious advice in relation to new generation technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, blockchain, cryptoassets, metaverse, etc.

I write regularly for specialist publications, and I have lectured in several education and business institutions, such as IE, ISDE, CEU San Pablo University, among others.

I've been recognized in The Legal 500 directory in the category Dispute Resolution as Next Generation Partners and was included in the first edition of the Legal 500 Private Practice Arbitration Powerlist - Iberia Region.
I joined Bird & Bird in 2006, having previously worked in one of the most prestigious law firms in the Ibero-American market.
