Antonio Ballesteros

I am an associate in Bird & Bird's Corporate department in the Madrid office.

As an M&A and corporate associate, my expertise covers a range of both national and international M&A and venture capital transactions, corporate restructuring and corporate matters, including international corporate secretarial work and contract law.

As a consequence of the wide range of sectors for the clients I work for, I am more than used to dealing with complex issues and provide innovative solutions, either leading or as part of our multi-disciplinary teams. Before joining Bird & Bird, I worked for another international law firm here in Madrid. I speak English as well as my native Spanish.

• I have had the chance to collaborate on and coordinate several national and international M&A and corporate transactions.
• Advising ING Ventures, venture capital arm of ING Group, in a new funding round of Fintonic, a Spain-based technology company leader in the personal loans market.
• Advising Tervalis Desarrollo, S.A. on the negotiation of an investment agreement in respect of one of its Spanish subsidiaries as well as on the negotiation of a joint venture agreement for the incorporation of a JV in Morocco, the supply of raw materials agreement and senior management agreement.
• Advising the telematics arm of an American multinational telecommunications conglomerate on the purchase of the business of Movildata Internacional, S.L., a Spanish company specialised in car rental software management solutions. This transaction included a thorough due diligence and the execution of extensive ancillary agreements.
• Advising Biotech Dental SAS in the acquisition of a majority stake in the Spanish company Software Nemotec, S.L.
• Advising Haitong Bank S.A. (acting through its branch in Spain) on the sale of the credit rights amounting to around €15 million held against one of the biggest companies within the concrete pumping business.
