Working as a partner with our corporate team in Milan, I am focused on equity and debt capital markets. I provide assistance on complex transactions as well as day-to-day issues, working with major business banks and companies listed on the Italian Stock Exchange.

I offer in-depth expertise in equity and debt capital markets, corporate governance of listed and non listed companies in the energy and utilities sector, and on commercial agreements.

I always try to be creative and innovative in my work, and this is distinctive to Bird & Bird. I study new legal solutions to match the needs of our clients in order to facilitate the transactions in which I am involved.

One skill particularly appreciated by my clients is taking a collaborative approach, combined with a high level of expertise, which makes them feel comfortable.

I have heavily contributed to the development of the capital market practice of the firm in Italy, and my approach to the clients always considers the possibility of the international development of their business.

I have been a speaker for workshops regarding crowdfunding and market abuse, as well as for the Finance Master of 'Sole 24 Ore' (the most important Italian financial newspaper) with reference to listing procedures/issues and Italian financial market.

Before joining Bird & Bird, I gained experience at three leading international law firms.

• Assisting the sponsor in the listing procedure on the Italian regulated market of companies active both in real estate and the renewable energy sector.
• Advising on the restructuring of a well-known company listed on the Italian regulated market and active in the fashion industry.
• Advising on the capital increase, reserved to an important Italian professional inventor, of a holding company listed on the Italian regulated market controlling three of the main important insurance companies in Italy.
• Advising on the listing of bonds for the an Italian listed company on ExtraMOT PRO (Italian MTF) organised and managed by Borsa Italiana S.p.A.

• The restructuring of a company listed on the Italian Regulated Market active in the fashion industry. They required us to structure a complex transaction matching the investor's particular needs in terms of return on the investment. We matched their needs by studying an innovative financial instrument (the Strumento Finanziaro Partecipativo) to be issued by them, incorporating particular financial rights on the dividends of the company.
• Assistance to one of the main important Italian business banks who acted as sponsor for the listing of companies active respectively in the renewable energy sector and real estate sector. In these cases we obtained the listing in a different way than a traditional IPO. We achieved the target in the first case by means of a contribution of assets, in the form of a capital increase of an existing listed company, where the value of the assets contributed was higher than the value of the assets of the listed company receiving the contribution. With reference to the company active in the real estate sector we obtained the listing by means of splitting an existing listed company in two entities (both listed) with the same shareholders structure.
• The study of new and innovative financial instruments in order to grant finance to companies like coinisation and the exchange coins have when underlying some IP licenses.
