Fernando Ruiz

I am a paralegal in Bird & Bird's Intellectual Property department in the Madrid office.

I have worked in Intellectual Property for over 15 years. My work has always been focused on the prosecution, protection, and defense of Intellectual Property rights, including trademarks, patents, and designs, for a wide range of clients, both at national and international levels. This has given me great insight into multiple jurisdictions and how they operate.

Before joining the team in 2023, I held various positions in some of the most important Intellectual Property agencies in Spain. This experience provided me with a comprehensive understanding of the sector, which I currently apply in my daily work.

I am also passionate about optimising computer tools. Throughout the years, I have dedicated considerable efforts to raising awareness about the importance of their proper utilisation, which has led to increased productivity.
