I am an associate in the Intellectual Property team at Bird & Bird based in Beijing, specialising in patent drafting and prosecution.

I have advised on patent matters involving a wide range of technologies, including telecommunications, electronics, software / database, artificial intelligence / big data, image/video/audio processing, and automobiles.
With my technical background in electronics and information processing, I regularly advise clients in the communication and information sector on their patent applications, guiding them through the process from drafting to prosecution, including patent mining, discussion with inventors and IP in-houses, drafting patent application documents (in English or Chinese), analysing patent documents and references and providing claim amendments and comments / arguments (in English or Chinese or Japanese), and preparing documents for accelerating patent prosecution (in the USA, Japan, China, EU, etc.). My work also covers patent invalidation and litigation, including evidence search, feature analysis and mapping, and document preparation.
I have extensive experience working with leading international telecommunication companies in APAC and Europe. The cases involved are mostly standard essential patents (SEP). The related communication standards include 3GPP 4G, 5G and 6G standards, IEIF RFC protocols, IEEE 802.11 standards, etc.
Before being a patent attorney in China, I had been working as a software engineer in Tokyo. I used platforms such as Windows and Unix, programming languages like Java, python, C++ and C#, script languages like bsh, ksh, JavaScript and databases like ORACLE, PostgreSQL and MySQL. I am a qualified applied software engineer in Japan.
I am fluent in English, Chinese and Japanese.
