Henar Bocigas

I am an associate in Bird & Bird's International HR Services department in the Madrid office.

Since the beginning of my professional career, I have been dedicated to the field of employment law, which I find exciting due to its dynamism and the opportunities for improvement that it offers our clients. For this reason, one of the great advantages of being part of the Bird & Bird team is that, unlike other law firms, Bird & Bird has a multidisciplinary team and an extensive international network, which allows us to offer all our clients comprehensive and coordinated advice.

During my years of professional experience, I have advised a number of clients, both nationally and internationally, on all types of employment law matters, including: employment contracts and special conditions, drafting of legal reports and opinions, internal flexibility measures, suspensions and terminations of individual employment relationships, and advice on contracts or services with third parties and temporary employment agencies.

I have also represented clients in numerous judicial and administrative proceedings, including defending clients in labour infringement-related proceedings, as well as defending clients before all instances of the labour and contentious-administrative judicial bodies.

In addition, I have actively participated in the field of collective labour relations, from the perspective of both technical labour advice and direct intervention in the negotiations. Collective relations is one aspect of my work that I particularly enjoy.

In recent years, I have also focused on the exciting world of M&A procedures and corporate restructuring, advising clients on the labour and social security aspects during the acquisition or sale of companies. I have assisted on transactions across many sectors, specialising in health and life sciences, retail and consumer, and ICT sectors.

I have been a member of the Madrid Bar Association since 2011.
