Hiroyuki Iwamura

I am a corporate partner and am based in our London office. I advise clients in a variety of sectors, notably across technology and communications, energy and utilities, media and entertainment and automotive. In particular, I advise Japanese clients to make investments in the UK and Europe and also support them after entering into the UK/EU market on their day-to-day legal issues (e.g. compliance, employment, commercial contracts). Later this year, I will be based in our Tokyo office.

I have extensive experience in providing legal advice to Japanese companies entering into the UK and EU market through M&A transactions, joint ventures and the establishment of subsidiaries, including manufacturing facilities.

I also provide a wide range of day-to-day legal advice to Japanese clients, including general contract reviews, compliance advice (data protection, anti-bribery, competition, and regulatory matters), corporate reorganisations, dispute resolutions (arbitration and litigation), employment matters, real estate transactions, and advice on administrations/liquidations and withdrawals of businesses.

I also advise on English law matters for Japanese clients in other jurisdictions, including India, Singapore and Hong Kong.
