I am a counsel in our Corporate practice in Hong Kong.

I am a real estate and finance lawyer who advises property investors, property developers and financial institutions on property related transactions and financing. This includes acquisition of residential and commercial properties for investment or redevelopment, project conveyancing involving residential, industrial and commercial properties, property joint ventures, acquisition of property holding companies, land exchange, lease modification, hotel management and construction finance.

Prior to joining Bird & Bird, I was an in-house legal counsel in BNP Paribas covering corporate banking.
Experience
  • Acting for Qi Feng Capital Asset Management (the family office of SaSa Group) in its respective acquisitions of various sites for both residential and industrial developments including acting for banks in financing some respective acquisitions.
  • Acting for Globe (International) Development Limited in the purchase of around 80-100 residential and commercial units in Mongkok for redevelopment and assisting this client in restructuring and advising on issues relating to the redevelopment, including joint-venture arrangement with other investors.
  • Advising China Resources Land Limited on the acquisition of various properties (consideration in the range from HK$500 million up to HK$6 billion) in Hong Kong for redevelopment.
  • Acting for Lofter Group in its respective acquisitions of various sites respectively at Bedford Road, Boundary Street, Ki Lung Street, Nanking Street, Sai Yee Street, Nathan Road in Kowloon under separate joint ventures / entities and also acting for banks / borrowers in financing the respective acquisitions;
  • Acting for Grand Ming Group Holdings Limited (Listed company in HKEX) on the acquisition of site in Kowloon;
  • Acting for 3M Hong Kong Ltd in the 2 sales of their offices as vendor in Hong Kong respectively and acting for its leaseback for the 2 offices as tenant.
  • Acting for various major banks in Hong Kong in financing for purchases or re-financing for loans (such as HSBC, Hang Seng Bank Ltd., Bank of China Ltd., CITIC Bank Ltd., Dah Sing Bank Ltd., Bank of East Asia Ltd., BNPP, Chiyu Bank Ltd., Citibank (HK) Ltd., ICBC (Asia) Ltd., CMB Wing Lung Bank Ltd., United Overseas Bank Ltd. and etc.;
  • Acting for a wholly subsidiary of Blackstone Inc. to acquire a property approx. HK$500 million in Hong Kong;
  • Advising various multi-national companies, local companies and individual clients (including Zara Group, Levi's Group, BUPA, MetLife, BNPP, Decathlon, IBM, Mentholatum, Maxim's Group and etc.) as tenants/occupiers in the leasing of offices, shops residential flats in Hong Kong.
  • Acting for Choice Glory Limited (SaSa Group), Wisefield Enterprises Limited (KHI Group) and individual clients as landlords to draft tenancy agreements/leases/licence agreements in the leasing of offices, shops and residential flats in Hong Kong (including but not limited to giving advice, negotiating with the tenants and/or the tenant's solicitors on the terms of the tenancy agreement, and/or other related documents.
