Laura Naranjo

I am an associate employment lawyer in the Madrid office of Bird & Bird.

I have almost 4 years of experience as a labour lawyer. Initially, I did my internship in the labour law department of RCD (Rousaud Costas Duran) and then I entered to the Big Four world, working as a labour lawyer at Ernst&Young, in the Barcelona office. In this sense, I have been working there during 3 years, and thus entering the international sphere.

My work has always had an international character, as many of the clients I have dealt with have been from other countries.

In terms of the functions I have performed in my career, these have had a cross-cutting nature, dealing with everything from M&A transactions to equality plan negotiations, as well as recurring client queries, among others.

I am passionate about law and the arts, from the plastic arts to music and art. Therefore, in addition to being a lawyer, I am a professional dancer and pianist.

• Advising Spanish and foreign Companies in employment matters related to contracts, collective bargaining agreements and Social Security litigation. Elaboration of labour due diligences, national and international corporate acquisition procedures. Advising on special senior management relationships.
• Advising of Spanish-based Companies in the frame of collective dismissal procedures. Preparation of trials.
• Participation with other service lines of EY (TAX, Transaction team, Advisory, Assurance, …) in global projects related to employment issues as regards IT, expatriates, Due Diligence, Transactions, cost evaluations, pensions, stock options...
• Continuous advice to Companies as regards the expatriates and their inclusion and framework under the Spanish Social Security
