Luke Oon

I am an associate in Bird & Bird ATMD's Corporate & Commercial Group in Singapore. I have substantial experience working on a wide range of corporate matters encompassing mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture capital, corporate restructuring and corporate advisory work.

I work collaboratively with a diverse clientele that includes private equity and venture capital firms, multinational corporations, start-ups and government-linked entities. I have represented clients on complex and high-value transactions across various sectors such as technology and communications, life sciences and healthcare, real estate development and retail and consumer.

I graduated with an LLB (Hons) from King's College London in 2016 and was a recipient of the King's College London Dickson Poon Scholarship. I was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 2018 and qualified as a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales in 2022.

Prior to joining Bird & Bird ATMD, I was working for a top-tier big four local law firm.

• Acted for a multinational corporation in its formation of a joint venture vehicle, through which a voluntary general offer was made for the shares of a technology and communications company listed on the SGX.
• Acted for a government-linked entity in the disposal of its equity interest in a real estate development.
• Acted for an institutional investor in its investment into a plant-based food technology start-up.
• Acted for an SGX-listed entity in its corporate restructuring and acquisition of a real estate holding company in Malaysia.
• Acted for a government-linked entity in its joint venture with an institutional investor for the acquisition of real estate in the People's Republic of China.
