I am a partner in our Intellectual Property group based in Hong Kong, focusing on complex cross-border IP litigation.
My background in prosecuting IP rights as a patent and trade mark attorney enables me to offer a holistic perspective in international IP litigation, where I specialise in consumer electronics, software and mechanical and materials technology. I have advised on disputes involving embedded software copyright, materials technology, aerospace, semiconductors, chemical and refrigerant technology, LEDs and consumer electronics. I also advise on IP-related competition issues.
In recent years, I have managed teams of lawyers across China, India, Japan and South Korea in high value patent infringement and invalidation actions.
Before joining Bird & Bird in Hong Kong, I practiced in London for several years advising clients on global IP protection strategies including drafting and prosecuting patent applications and oppositions before the UK Patent Office (The Intellectual Property Office), the European Patent Office and globally via the PCT system.
I am a member of the AIPPI Standing Committee on Patents and a committee member of the Asian Patent Attorneys Association, through which I advocate on issues important to IP rights holders across Asia.
I regularly contribute to IP publications and I am fluent in English and Mandarin.
