Navigating regulatory and operational challenges in the European data centre industry

As demand for data centres steadily increases to support cloud services and AI applications, these facilities are becoming an increasingly attractive asset class for investors. However, the European data centre industry faces new regulations with bureaucratic burdens and ambitious technical targets for energy efficiency.

In-depth knowledge of new and emerging regulations along with appropriate commercial and legal structures, is key to avoiding critical setbacks from new requirements for waste heat recovery, energy and water efficiency, energy grid regulation and renewable energy sourcing. The same applies to the forthcoming tightening of security requirements for critical infrastructure and cyber security.

Moreover, FLAP-D and European Tier 2 locations are affected by power shortages and, in some cases, a lack of suitable land for new data centres.

We are pleased to invite you to our data centres in-person event, where we will focus on the entire value chain from equity investment to the day-to-day operation of data centres and how to overcome challenges to keep the industry moving forward at pace. You will receive:

  • A keynote talk from a leading industry figure.
  • Analysis of major trends in the sector.
  • A snapshot of the new and upcoming major regulations.
  • A chance to discuss with our panellists and presenters.

Please join us at our London office on Thursday 14 November for an afternoon of interesting discussions. The meeting will be followed by networking drinks.
