International law firm Bird & Bird has appointed Finance & Financial Regulation expert Piotr Lesinski as a partner in Warsaw. He joined the firm on 4 September 2023.
Piotr is a leading debt capital markets and finance regulatory lawyer in Poland. He is joining the firm from the Banking and Finance Department of Allen & Overy in Warsaw. Piotr’s practice particularly focusses on debt capital market transactions, including Eurobonds, domestic bonds, covered bonds and securitisation. His regulatory advice involves a wide range of financial regulatory matters, particularly matters related to CRD/CRR and BRRD.
Piotr has a fantastic reputation in the field of Finance & Financial Regulation, as demonstrated by his outstanding client references, as well as his rankings in key legal directories. He has been ranked in Chambers Europe in Capital Markets Debt for Poland for 17 consecutive years, and he continues to retain his ranking in the Capital Markets Hall of Fame in Legal 500 for the past 10 years.
His appointment is part of Bird & Bird’s strategy to grow its Finance & Financial Regulation practice in Poland. Piotr’s extensive experience advising clients on debt instruments will make him a valuable addition to the existing team in Poland, as well as the international Finance & Financial Regulation practice.
