Bird & Bird signs MindForward Alliance Pledge

International law firm Bird & Bird has joined the MindForward Alliance Leadership Pledge, a global initiative that seeks to accelerate businesses on their journey to building a mentally healthy workplace.

Together with academic experts, multilateral institutions, and not-for-profit organisations, the MindForward Alliance Leadership Pledge is the first global initiative of its kind and enables organisations and their leaders to demonstrate that they are prioritising mental health in the workplace.

Led by MindForward Alliance, the initiative seeks to create a world where all workplace leaders recognise, have the right tools, and commit to take tangible and evidence-based action on mental health and wellbeing in the workplace.

By signing the pledge, Bird & Bird joins several organisations in becoming part of a supportive community that is committed to accelerating progress on this important issue.

Christian Bartsch, Chief Executive Officer at Bird & Bird, comments: “At Bird & Bird, our biggest asset is our people. Their hard work and talent are what makes the firm a great place to work so prioritising mental health and fostering an environment where all our people can thrive is vital. Through signing up to the MindForward Alliance Leadership Pledge, we are dedicated to continuing our efforts to support our people’s wellbeing and mental health across the Bird & Bird network.”

Poppy Jaman, Founder & Executive Vice Chair at MindForward Alliance, says: “Every business in our growing community is building or evolving their mental health support journey. Each one recognises that creating the right environment - wherever their people may be based - is important for productivity and for psychological safety.”

The initiative is led by MindForward Alliance, a leading global not-for-profit which is dedicated to transforming workplace culture into one that supports the mental health of its employees.
