Bird & Bird advises Mews Systems B.V. on its acquisition of Atomize AB

International law firm Bird & Bird advised Mews Systems B.V. (Mews), a leader in hospitality technology, on its acquisition of 100% of the shares of Swedish-headquartered Revenue Management Software (RMS) provider Atomize AB. Atomize marks Mews’ fourth acquisition in 2024.

Atomize delivers cloud-based Revenue Management Software (RMS) to the hotel industry that optimises and automates the pricing of hotel rooms. This solution transforms complex market data – including market demand, booking patterns and competitor rates - into actionable insights, offering optimal pricing in real time.

Founded by hoteliers in 2012, Mews is an industry-leading hospitality cloud that powers over 5,500 customers globally. It is designed to streamline operations for modern hoteliers, transforming the guest experience and creating more profitable businesses.

The Bird & Bird team advising on the deal was led by partner Martin Folke (Corporate), and consisted of Counsel Erik Holmgren, and associates Sofia Ekeryd and Freja Jacobsson (all Corporate), as well as associates Dasha Arntyr, Barbara Barun and Noomi Jung (all Employment).

Lead partner at Bird & Bird, Martin Folke, comments: "Mews Ventures has been a valued client for many years, and we've collaborated across multiple jurisdictions. Once again, we had a highly successful and enjoyable partnership. It's a privilege to closely observe Mews Ventures' global growth journey."

Cisco Villalta, General Counsel & Head of Mews Ventures, comments: "Bringing Atomize into the fold is a huge milestone for Mews and we are excited about the revenue potential this brings to our customers. We are extremely grateful to Bird & Bird whose expertise has been instrumental in navigating this acquisition. We have a long-standing partnership with the team who have advised on several transactions, and we appreciate their strategic guidance and seamless execution."
