About Me
I am a technology, copyright and data protection lawyer with a focus on technology transactions, data-driven projects and especially collaborative software development.
As a partner in our Technology and Communications, Commercial, and Privacy and Data Protection groups, I specialise in technology, software, digital media, copyright, data and data protection law. I advise clients on their technology projects and transactions, copyright and data protection, drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts and software agreements with a particular focus on the collaborative development of open source software, open data and open hardware.In 2018, I was elected to the advisory council of the Legal Network of the Free Software Foundation Europe. Since 2015, I have been Chair of the Compliance Work Team at the Linux Foundation's OpenChain project, which developed the ISO standard specifying key requirements of a quality open source license compliance program.
I speak regularly at IT/IP conferences and hold external and in-house seminars on open source license compliance.
