International law firm Bird & Bird has advised Konecranes Global Oy (Konecranes) on its acquisition of Peinemann Port Services B.V. (PPS) and Peinemann Container Handling B.V. (PCH). The acquisition has been approved by the Dutch competition authority.
Konecranes is a global leader in material handling solutions, serving a broad range of customers across multiple industries in over 50 countries and listed on the Nasdaq Helsinki (symbol: KCR).

PCH has been a Konecranes Lift Trucks distributor in the Netherlands since 2009 and been in the sales, rental and service business of lift trucks in the Rotterdam area since 1954.
The acquisition of PPS’ and PCH’s businesses will expand Konecranes’ footprint and increase their service presence in Europe’s largest port, where they already have strong customer relationships and a significant fleet of both automated and manual equipment.
